Dina Bonnevie Speaks on Affair of Ex-Husband Vic Sotto with Coney Reyes

DINA BONNEVIE – The veteran actress revealed the reason of her ex-husband, Vic Sotto, for his affair with her bestfriend, Coney Reyes.

One of the most popular  celebrity breakups in the Philippine entertainment industry was the split of Vic and Dina. The two (2) celebrities got married in 1982 and their marriage lasted for 10 years.

Vic Sotto and Dina Bonnevie were blessed with two (2) children in their marriage — Danica and Oyo Boy. Both were stills kids when their parents separated and they lived with the actress.

It is no secret to the public that host-actress Coney Reyes, the best friend of Dina, played a role in the breakup of the former couple. She had an affair with Vic and their relationship gave them a son.

Recently, in an interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Dina Bonnevie spoke about her separation with Vic Sotto and her ex-husband’s affair with Coney Reyes. The veteran actress affirmed that she has talked to the two (2) celebrities about it.

According to Dina, it was a quiet conversation between them. She expressed that she asked Vic why he had to cheat. The actress got pregnant with him at 19 and became a mother at 20. She was only 23 when they separated.

“Parang yun ang sinabi niya sa akin na sagot, ‘You’re so inexperienced,’” the actress said.

Dina Bonnevie admitted that after then, she had moments of comparing herself physically with Coney Reyes. She also had a hard time thinking that she’s beautiful but she got cheated on by her then husband.

“Bakeet? She’s ten years older! I can’t believe it na itong ganda kong ito and siya [Vic], ang haba ng baba niya,” Dina further expressed.

Meanwhile, Dina expressed that time came when she mellowed down and realized that the physical things had nothing to do with the relationship of Vic and Coney. She realized that the minds of the two celebrities probably met then as they share the same things they want to do.

“I wasn’t even in the corporate world yet… They were both learning the ropes of production. And, I think, she [Coney] was already producing then,” Dina Bonnevie said in the interview.

Meanwhile, Dina affirmed that she’s forgiven Vic and Coney about their affair. Both she and her ex-husband have their own families now and their children, Danica and Oyo, have theirs, too.
