Toni Fowler Speaks Out on Alleged Rift W/ Her Mother

TONI FOWLER – Vlogger Toni Fowler opens up about the rift with her mother, sharing the challenges they’ve faced and how it has affected her role as a parent.

Toni Fowler, a well-known vlogger, endorser, and proud mom, is admired for her candid personality and strong social media presence. Despite her rising fame, she recently opened up about a personal matter involving a misunderstanding with her biological mother.

In a heartfelt interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda aired Tuesday, April 8, Toni admitted that she and her mother, Gemma, had a falling out. She explained that during a recent conversation, she tried to express her side, but felt her mother wasn’t fully listening.

“Ang mother ko, nag-usap kami… Pagkatapos naming magusap, hindi niya ako gusto mapakinggang nang buo,” Toni shared. “So ang nangyari, nag-sorry ako sa kaniya, pero hanggang dun na lang ako. Ang gusto ko kasi magkaroon kami ng boundaries pagdating sa anak ko. So, sa nakikita ko, hindi, hindi niya gagawin.”

Toni stood firm in her belief that being a grandmother doesn’t automatically give someone the right to override a parent’s decision. “Hindi porket kasi lola ka, puwede kang, ‘Ay ito desisyon ko. Ah ito ang sasabihin ko. Hindi puwede ganun,” she said.

She made it clear that her priority is now her role as a mother to her daughter Tyronia and her son Tyrone. “Para sa akin kasi, kung hindi maayos ang relasyon namin bilang mag-ina, ayoko masira ‘yung akin, sa anak ko. At kailangan maintindihan ng mommy ko na hindi ko kakalimutan maging anak. Pero bilang magulang na ako ngayon, ang priority ko, mas piliin maging magulang kaysa maging anak muna.” said Toni.

Toni also emphasized that she will not allow her child to grow up hearing negative things, especially about not being loved by their own mom, especially if it stems from unresolved family issues.

When asked by Boy Abunda about what traits she would and wouldn’t want to emulate from her mother, Toni answered with honesty. She wouldn’t want to be the kind of parent who doesn’t listen or say sorry. On the other hand, she admires her mother’s resilience and dedication as a single mom who worked hard to raise her children.

The public first met Toni’s biological mother, Gemma, in April 2023.
