Known for his modest approach to real estate, this move marks a significant shift for the actor who has long stayed rooted in the same family home. Mumbai’s real estate market is currently experiencing a surge in prices, prompting many actors to cash in on their assets, and Salman Khan has joined this trend.

The property Salman sold is located in the upscale Bandra West area, specifically in Shiv Asthan Heights within the Pali Village neighborhood—a premium luxury society known for its exclusivity. The flat spans approximately 1,318 square feet and comes with parking space for three cars, a factor that contributed to its high selling price. Reports say the property was sold for ₹5.35 crore, and a stamp duty of ₹32 lakh was paid during the transaction.

Despite selling this property, Salman continues to reside in the famous Galaxy Apartments, which is just about 2 kilometers away from the sold flat. Bandra West is one of Mumbai’s most sought-after and high-value real estate markets, attracting buyers due to its luxury apartments, heritage bungalows, and boutique commercial spaces.

Salman Khan is not known for frequently investing in or trading properties. He still lives in the same apartment his father, Salim Khan, purchased more than four decades ago amid many struggles. This family home has been Salman’s childhood residence, shared with his siblings. Even after achieving immense success, Salman requested his father to move out and buy a bungalow, but Salim Khan firmly refused, saying he would only leave the house in a coffin. Since then, Salman has never insisted on leaving that home, symbolizing his strong emotional ties and grounded nature.

Currently, Salman lives in the Galaxy Apartments with his family on two floors—the ground and first floors. The home also accommodates over twenty staff members, all living and managing to coexist in the same space. In contrast to many Bollywood stars who rush to buy lavish mansions as soon as they start earning, Salman remains content in one of the more modest homes among his peers, a trait that keeps him connected to his roots.

This sale represents Salman Khan’s first known property sale in Mumbai, even though he has long been somewhat behind other actors in real estate dealings. As Mumbai’s market continues to rise, more celebrities seem to be seizing the opportunity to sell high-value properties, and Salman’s decision appears to follow this trend. However, his attachment to his family home remains strong, and he has not shown signs of moving from Galaxy Apartments, signaling that while he might sell some assets, his core lifestyle remains unchanged.
