At the end of the rehearsal, after hours of preparation, Sanju threw in a last-minute challenge for Isha. “Before we were about to leave, Sanju suddenly said, ‘You have to sing the initial part of the song.’ I was shocked and asked, ‘Why didn’t you tell me earlier?’ He just told me, ‘You’ll have to sing it because the girl is singing this part in the song.’ I quickly learned and was glad I did,” Isha says with a smile.

This dedication and willingness to go above and beyond highlight Isha’s professional attitude. On the other hand, Sanju, who is no stranger to hits like “Gulabi Saree” and “Kaali Bindi,” has always been a trendsetter in Marathi music. But even with all his experience, he has never taken the success for granted. “No matter how many hits I deliver, I know the struggle behind every track, and I always keep learning,” he mentions.

But what truly sets Isha apart is her ability to adapt quickly. When asked about performing in Marathi despite not fully understanding it, Isha says, “It wasn’t too difficult for me. I learned it really quickly—within 10-15 minutes, I had everything memorized.”

In the process, Isha was also faced with the broader expectations that come with her growing fame. Hailing from a middle-class family, she admits that her journey hasn’t been easy, but the support of her family has been invaluable. “I never take any success for granted,” she says. “I know that everything I’ve achieved is the result of a lot of hard work, both by me and especially my parents. My mother gets most of the credit, and she deserves it, but my father’s support is equally crucial. A wife can only succeed if her husband supports her fully, and I’m lucky to have both of them by my side every step of the way.”

As for controversies, Isha remains grounded. While many in the industry shy away from controversy, Isha admits that her life has had its share of mistakes. “I’ve learned from them, and I’m always improving,” she says. “I’m working on becoming a better version of myself every day.”

While the idea of taking on an item song in Bollywood often comes with its own set of challenges and expectations, Isha remains open-minded. “I don’t mind doing it, but it has to be the right kind of song for me. If it doesn’t align with who I am, I wouldn’t do it. But if it feels right, why not? I would love to explore that space.”

Sanju, with his deep passion for Marathi pop music, has bigger plans ahead. “I want to grow Marathi pop music even further, and that’s where my focus lies right now,” he shares. He also adds that he would love to work with Isha on more projects in the future, highlighting the fun and success of their recent collaboration.

Lastly, Isha, while keeping a low profile, is not one to rush into announcements. She believes in letting things unfold before making them public. “I prefer keeping things under wraps until everything is finalized. The world can be very judgmental, and I believe in letting things happen naturally before sharing them with everyone.”

As for her Bollywood debut, Isha is tight-lipped. “If everything goes as planned, there might be something in the future, but I can’t confirm anything yet. We’ll see where things go.”
