In a surprising turn of events, former Eat Bulaga! Dabarkads member Jimmy Santos has switched gears from showbiz to recycling business, as he sets foot in Canada.

Jimmy’s new venture was concisely showcased in an 11-minute YouTube vlog titled “Jimmy Saints nangalakal sa Canada!,” which was uploaded on May 23, 2023.

At the start of the video, he explained that he will cover one of Canada’s sustainable practices in creating a circular economy out of waste management.

Unlike the conventional junk shops found in the Philippines, the bottle depot Jimmy visited operates with a high level of organization and efficiency.

The process begins with Jimmy waiting in line with a large bag of empty cans and containers, before spreading out the contents on a flat metal surface where the counting process takes place.

A machinery would then proceed to sort the items based on material, which could vary from aluminum and glass, to plastic and paper. This step ensures that each waste is handled separately for effective recycling.

Afterwards, Jimmy is handed a piece of paper that indicates the value of the recyclables he brought in.
